Case study

2019 BMW 523i

REAL WORK. REAL RESULTS.

A warning light appeared on the dashboard.
The customer had also noticed the vehicle’s door locks were intermittently locking and unlocking on their own.

Initial Inspection

A comprehensive diagnostic scan was carried out, revealing multiple stored fault codes
The fault codes were cleared and the vehicle was road tested to determine which faults were currently active.

Diagnosis Process

Following the road test, the vehicle was rescanned and the following fault codes returned:

  • 930798 – Aerial, luggage compartment: Short circuit, line disconnection or faulty
  • 9307B6 – Outside door-handle electronic module, passenger rear: Non-permissible current value on unlock line
